The North Texas Community Giving Foundation (NTCGF) and the Tug McGraw Foundation, are pleased to announce that healthcare industry leader, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco, is the title sponsor of the 2nd annual Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K. The race will begin and end at Collin College Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd., Frisco, Texas 75035 on April 15, 2017. This fitting partnership is a boost in efforts to benefit healthy living and area charities in need.
“Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K is excited to have an organization the caliber of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco as our title sponsor,” Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K race director Paul Simon said. “This race is about impacting our community and giving back. Partnering with Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco provides us this opportunity,” he added.
Last year’s race brought in 1700 runners and raised close to $100,000 that left several local organizations in decent shape. The race continues to maintain opportunities to help groups assist the communities they serve.
While the inaugural Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K race encouraged participants to Be Part of Something Big, it’s now time to Be Part of Something Bigger! Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco saw fit to claim the top spot.

Registration is well underway for the Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K. Register early for discounted rates. All experience levels are welcome to #RunBigStar. Corporate teams are encouraged to register as well.
Race Partner, Luke’s Locker, will host the Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K kick-off registration celebration at 5717 Legacy Drive #180, Plano, Texas 75024 on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. NTCGF members will be on hand to share details about #RunBigStar as well as provide answers to questions interested parties may have. Sign-ups will also take place onsite during this evening of food, fun, discounts and prizes.
