CREATING A TRADITION
The Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K is the first and only endurance race in Frisco, Texas. Once again, the race will start and finish at Collin College Preston Ridge Campus. The race will be followed by our extremely popular post-race Finisher Fest, where our renowned medals and runner recognition awards will be distributed.
Sponsored by the North Texas Community Giving Foundation, The Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K has raised almost $200,000 and all funds go to benefit non-profit 501c3 charitable organizations within the North Texas community. 2019 is sure to be the biggest and best yet. Don’t miss out on this local charity race, with big race feel.
“Highly recommend this race. It is very well organized and I have had a great time both times I have run this race. Last year's course was great and the crowds were awesome. I will running this race again in 2018”
“My company participated as a corporate team last year. We got team shirts and had over 50 people join to walk or run. It was a great way to connect with co-workers and give back to the community.”
“I got my Half Marathon PR at the 2017 race! Texas Big Star is a fantastic event with great race and spectator support.”
“With a wonderful team of volunteers, nice flat course and great entertainment at the finish, this event easily matches up with any of the other half marathons around.”
“As a runner and a pace team captain, I am extremely impressed with both the Texas Big Star Leadership Team and the Race. It is one of the best, local half marathons in North Texas and separates itself by its focus on giving back to our local community by donating all proceeds to multiple charities.”
“Texas Big Star is a jewel of a race - super friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, close proximity to many family-friendly restaurants and activities and one of the best post-race celebrations! Overall, very-well organized and great community event!”
