What are the start times for the races?
- Wheelchair, Hand Cycle, and Adaptive Half Marathon: 6:55 AM
- Half Marathon: 7:00 AM

Why does the Texas Big Star exist and who does it support?
The Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K proudly supports the Frisco Chamber Foundation and the Collin College Community Foundation. Since its inception, the race has raised nearly $400,000 for charitable causes across the North Dallas community. As Frisco’s only half marathon, the event welcomes 2,500 runners and their supporters each year, bringing a significant economic impact while showcasing the vibrancy of our city.

What are the parking arrangements for participants and spectators?
Parking is available in designated lots marked in red, yellow, and white on the Parking Map. Vehicles can enter via Wade Blvd or Ohio Dr. After parking, use the campus sidewalk system to access the event site located across from Founders Hall. It’s recommended to exit via Ohio Dr., where volunteers will assist in crossing the course.

How can I access or leave my home if I live on the race route?

Will there be designated crossing points if I need to cross the race route?
Yes, monitored crossing points will be established at key intersections. These locations are marked on the Course Traffic Guide and will be staffed by race personnel to assist pedestrians in crossing safely during gaps between runners.
Where can race spectators park?
Designated parking areas for spectators are marked on the event map. We encourage carpooling where possible to minimize traffic congestion.
What time do road closures begin and end?
Road closure times vary by location. Road closures will be on a rolling basis as runners begin at 7:00 a.m. and reopen on a rolling basis as the last participants clear each section. For specific timing on your street, please check the COURSE TRAFFIC GUIDE below.
